Turkana Wooden Bowl

One of a kind item handmade by the Turkana (Nilotic) people who reside in north west Kenya. Turkana bowls are used by the Turkana people of northern Kenya. The bowls are carved by the women using traditional tools, an indigenous tree was traditionally used to receive cow's milk. The Turkana still maintain their undiluted traditional way of life. They are distinguished as being great survivors, living in harsh and inhospitable terrain.
